Doctor Yiolanda Herodotou graduated from St John's University in New York City, USA. Then she graduated from Aristotle University School of Medicine in Thessaloniki in July 2010.
In 2012, Doctor Yiolanda continued her residency training at the Limassol General Hospital in Cyprus. From 2013-2017 she continued her residency training in Pulmonology at the 2nd University Hospital of the Attikon General University Hospital in Athens. During her training she was involved in the treatment of patients with respiratory infections, obstructive lung diseases, vascular diseases and diffuse interstitial lung diseases such as pulmonary fibrosis and sarcoidosis, diseases for which the 2nd University Pulmonology Clinic is a special reference centre. She has attended and presented research papers at national and international conferences on pulmonology and has participated in seminars on COPD and smoking cessation. The research she participated in during her residency was published in peer-reviewed journals. In October 2017, she received her specialist diploma in Pulmonology. Then she completed a six-month fellowship in the Sleep Disorders - Sleep Apnoea Laboratory at Atticon University General Hospital. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Athens Medical School. After her return to Cyprus, Doctor Yiolanda worked as an attending pulmonologist at the Pulmonology Clinic of the General Hospital in Limassol, Cyprus for 2 years, until February 2020. Dr Yolanda Herodotou is currently working at her private clinic in Limassol and at the Blue Cross Medical Center private hospital in Paphos, Cyprus.
