Dr. Stamatios Kastanias – Obstetrician & Gynecologist

Dr. Stamatios Kastanias is an experienced Obstetrician and Gynecologist with international training and more than 15 years of professional experience in women’s health, obstetrics, and gynecology.

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Pavia, Italy, and subsequently obtained a Master’s Degree in Medicine from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he conducted research in the field of women’s reproductive health.

From 2011 to 2015, Dr. Kastanias completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Alexandra University Hospital in Athens, one of Greece’s leading medical institutions. He subsequently continued his professional career in the United Kingdom, serving as a Clinical Fellow, first in Urogynaecology at St Mary’s Hospital, part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and later in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Princess Royal University Hospital in London.

Between 2016 and 2021, Dr. Kastanias worked as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Famagusta General Hospital in Cyprus. In 2020, he was appointed Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, leading the department and providing advanced specialist care.

Since 2021, he has been running his private practice in the Famagusta District, offering a comprehensive range of obstetric and gynecological services. His professional interests include pregnancy care, preventive gynecology, reproductive health, the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological conditions, and comprehensive women’s healthcare at every stage of life.
