Dr. Spyros Economou is a German-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon and Traumatologist with a special interest in sports injuries, joint preservation, and modern minimally invasive surgery of the knee, shoulder, and hip.
He graduated with highest honours (summa cum laude) from the University of Debrecen Medical School and subsequently completed his specialist training in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery in Germany. Throughout his training and professional career in major German hospitals, he gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries, orthopaedic disorders, and traumatic injuries.
His philosophy is based on a personalised approach to patient care and the application of modern, evidence-based treatment methods. His goal is to restore mobility and function, relieve pain, and help patients return safely to their daily activities and sporting pursuits. Particular emphasis is placed on joint preservation and selecting the most appropriate treatment strategy for each individual patient, whether conservative or surgical.
