PANTELIS XENOPHONTOS MD MD,BSC, MPH, PHD, FRSM

Doctor Pantelis Xenophontos is an Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon with special interest in Sports Medicine, Osteoporosis, Public Health and Chronic Pain. He has been trained and worked in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery ,  Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery at several hospitals in Greece and Cyprus and received the Certificate of Medical Specialisation (Orthopaedic &Trauma Surgery) after successful exams  in Thessaloniki, Greece. 

Doctor Pantelis Xenophontos graduated from the School of Medicine( Ptychio Iatrikes) at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. He is also a graduate in Biology (B.Sc.Hons) from University of Crete in Greece. He has earned a Master Degree in Medicine(Social and Preventive Medicine) at prestigious Karolinska Institutet Stockholm , Sweden. In 2024 he was awarded a Doctorate in Public Health( Ph.D in Medicine)  at European University of Cyprus, after successfully defending thesis titled  “Development and evaluation of an osteoporotic fracture prediction model in Cyprus”.

Doctor Pantelis Xenophontos used to be a Scientific Collaborator at European University Cyprus in the field of Orthopaedics Surgery and Anatomy and Scientific Representative at WHO Collaborating Centre on Community Safety Promotion at Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden. Xenophontos has numerous oral communications in international medical congresses and many different published works. He is providing societal work as a full member of Charity Fraternity of Men in Thessaloniki and Médecins du Monde. He is used to be  the official doctor of Cyprus National Football Team . Doctor Pantelis has performed a variety of Orthopaedic surgeries including Paediatric Orthopaedic procedures  and in 2024 qualified as a Fellow of Royal Society of Medicine in London , UK. Doctor Pantelis Xenophontos speaks English and French fluently and has basic knowledge of Swedish and Italian.
