Dr. Giorgos Thrasyvoulidis is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Traumatologist specializing in shoulder and knee surgery, sports injuries, and advanced arthroscopic procedures. He practices at Blue Cross Medical Center in Paphos, Cyprus.
He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2010 and completed extensive postgraduate training in Germany, where he worked as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Helios Klinikum Duisburg and later at Vinzenz Krankenhaus Düsseldorf under Prof. Nebelung. During his years in Germany, he gained broad experience in sports traumatology, complex fracture management, shoulder and knee arthroscopy and shoulder replacement.
Dr. Thrasyvoulidis is internationally recognized for his commitment to excellence in arthroscopic surgery. He has been a recognized AGA Arthroskopeur since 2018 and has successfully completed the prestigious ESSKA European Certification Programme – Rotator Cuff Expert, one of Europe's highest-level certifications in shoulder surgery. He also holds the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine (2019), reflecting his expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports injuries.
