Education

Doctor Giorgos Karagiannis graduated from Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic and received a Master's degree in General Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

After graduation, Doctor Giorgos Karagiannis was trained for 6 years in general surgery at the General Hospital of Limassol and at the General Hospital of Nicosia. He was also trained in laparoscopic surgery in Athens and participated in colorectal surgery masterclass in Qatar.

Doctor Giorgos Karagiannis continued his studies at Dimokrition Panepistimion Thrakis (Demokritos University of Thrace (D.U.Th)), Greece and received a Master's degree in Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary Surgery (HPB Surgery) in 2017.

He is a member of the European Endoscopic Surgery Society and member of the European Coloproctology Society.

Registered in the Ministry of Health of Cyprus and GMC UK as a General Surgeon

He worked as Senior Fellow of Colorectal Surgery at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, London focusing on large bowel cancer and diseases treated by minimally invasive surgery.

Doctor Giorgos Karagiannis also teaches anatomy at the European University of Nicosia as a Scientific Collaborator

Since 2019, Doctor Giorgos Karagiannis has been in the private sector examining patients at Synesio Medical Center and performing surgical procedures at Timios Stavros private hospital.
