Doctor Constantinos Kritiotis is an Orthopaedic Hand, Wrist and Elbow Surgeon. He graduated from the University of Athens in 2005 and completed his Specialty Training in the Cypriot Orthopaedic Rotation, prior to moving to the UK for a fellowship in Hand Surgery in Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. Among the highlights of his career are the following:
- Doctor Constantinos Kritiotis obtained the prestigious European Diploma in Hand Surgery in 2014.

This allowed him to operate on most hand surgery conditions under local anaesthetic, thus lessening hospital stays and resources required for surgery. He has a publication on this as an invited author in the prestigious Hand Clinics Journal (Kritiotis C, Phillips A, Muir L, Naqui Z. Practice in Wide-Awake Hand Surgery: Differences Between United Kingdom and Cyprus. Hand Clin. 2019 Feb;35(1):43-50. doi: 10.1016/j.hcl.2018.08.007. PMID: 30470330.)
- Doctor Constantinos Kritiotis collaborated with Professor Jan Friden to introduce hand surgery for tetraplegic patients in Cyprus, thus allowing these patients to regain functions lost after their injury. Since 2016, fifteen patients have benefited from this collaboration which resulted in an improvement in their quality of life.
- Doctor Constantinos Kritiotis introduced the Aptis DRUJ prosthesis to Cyprus, following a direct approach to the designer of the prosthesis, Dr Luis Scheker. Through his personal efforts, the prosthesis was first imported to Cyprus and subsequently it was introduced in the GESY. To this day, the prosthesis was implanted on more than 15 patients. Of note, this prosthesis is not available in other countries in the Eastern Europe or the Eastern Mediterranean (including Israel).
