Doctor Christos Chamalis is a highly experienced, double board-certified ophthalmologist with over 15 years of practice in renowned hospitals across Germany, now bringing his expertise to Limassol, Cyprus. After graduating from Aristotle University’s Medical School in Thessaloniki, he moved directly to Berlin, Germany, where he earned his specialist degree in Ophthalmology. Moreover, he obtained a second specialist degree in Ophthalmology in Paris, France, becoming a member of the European Board of Ophthalmology. He specializes in oculoplastics, facial aesthetics, advanced cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and the treatment of retinal diseases. Over the course of his career, Dr. Chamalis has successfully performed more than 1,000 cataract surgeries and over 5,000 oculoplastic procedures, demonstrating his extensive skill and expertise in these areas.

Doctor Christos Chamalis has continuously refined and perfected his surgical techniques by attending advanced educational courses in Germany and internationally, including in the USA, UK, and Spain. His commitment to professional development ensures that his patients benefit from the latest innovations in ophthalmology.

In addition to his clinical work, Doctor Christos Chamalis spent five years as a senior consultant, with the last four years at a university clinic, where he further developed his expertise in managing complex cases. He is also passionate about teaching, having mentored ophthalmology residents and guided them through cataract and oculoplastic surgeries. He has also taught at a nursing school, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for eye care with future healthcare professionals.

In 2022, Dr. Chamalis envisioned building Canthus, a luxury and well-designed ophthalmology practice in Limassol. While still working in Germany, he teamed up with some of the best professionals to bring this dream to life, creating a space that combines advanced medical technology with comfort and style for every patient who walks through the doors.
